Damn anvir or goodbye VK.

Hello friend. A friend advised me to install the anvir task manager program (http://www.anvir.net). He explained that if the program finds Trojans and viruses, I can decide what to do with them (remove, isolate and leave). Well, that’s the most important thing =))) I deleted VKontakte (missed the button). Who knows this program, help me, otherwise my friend is a moron who doesn’t know what to do.

Go to the hosts file:
On Windows XP,2003, Vista:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
On Windows NT, 2000:
WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

For Windows 7 users: when you go to C:\windows\system32\drivers\ the etc folder will not be there, so open it like this: 1. go to C:\windows 2. launch Notepad as Administrator (right mouse button) 3. In notepad, click “Open file”, go to the folder C:\windows\system32\drivers\ the folder \etc\ will appear there, go to it 4. in the same window, in the “File” line, manually write hosts and click open.
— check the hotst file.
If it doesn’t open, press the right button, there “open with”, select Notepad.
The hosts file should be something like this:

# (C) Microsoft Corp.), 1993-1999
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains mappings of IP addresses to hostnames.
# Each element must be on a separate line. The IP address must
# be in the first column and must be followed by the appropriate name.
# IP address and hostname must be separated by at least one space.
#
# Additionally, some lines may contain comments
# (such as this line), they must follow the node name and be separated
# from it with the symbol ‘#’.
#
# For example:
#
#102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # origin server
#38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # client node x
127.0.0.1 localhost
or there just needs to be a line
127.0.0.1 localhost

If the file contains https://casinoways.org/mobile-app/ references to VKontakte (vkontakte.ru) or durov.ru – delete these lines and save the file.
If there is something else there, delete these lines, paste the above text, save the hosts file. The file must not have a hotst extension.txt file should be called simply hosts
It happens that the hosts file does not open.To. a virus in contact is blocking access to it. To edit the file, do this: Restart the computer, press F8 while loading, select “Safe Mode”. Once loaded, edit the file according to the instructions above and then reboot.

I’m not talking about… how you deleted VK?! This is a program for scanning and destroying viruses/Trojans exclusively in the system… what exactly did you do?

If only I knew)
Perhaps he nailed some kind of VKontakte application.
Well, or just a coincidence.

Author, please describe in more detail.

Dude it really helped. Thank you! I adore you =))) I wish you a million pluses.(in the meantime, catch it in the profile and comment)

Practice shows that it can. At the same time, strange lines appear in the hosts file, like ‘127.0.0.1 vkontakte.ru’, hence the blocking (I recently “treated” a couple of people with similar garbage).

Damn, I didn’t write to the author about hosts… I’m getting old..

This is exactly what I’m getting at.
In general, antivirus programs should, as a rule, swear at the changed hosts, by the way. If you didn’t swear, then it’s quite possible that the file was changed before installing the anti-virus software, and some application simply redirected the request -> there is a risk of phishing.

Author, what antivirus do you have??
I would advise, just in case, to change the password to VK

Damn anvir or goodbye VK.
